Privacy notice
This notice explains what information Pilates Playground collects through this website, why we collect it and how we look after it, in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect only what you enter in the form:
- Parent enquiries: parent or guardian name, email address, phone number (optional), your child’s age, school or suburb, and your message.
- School enquiries: school name and suburb, contact name and role, email address, phone number (optional), relevant age groups or grades, and your message.
Please don’t send medical or health information through the website. If we need it to keep your child safe in class, we’ll ask for it separately when you register.
Why we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and to arrange classes or a school partnership if you go ahead. We don’t sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who can see it
Only Lameez, our founder and instructor, reads your enquiry. We don’t share your details with anyone else.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and email. Your enquiry passes through a form service that forwards it to our inbox, and our email is hosted by Google Workspace. These providers may store data on servers outside South Africa, and they protect it with security measures in line with POPIA.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry doesn’t lead to a registration or school partnership, we delete it 12 months after our last contact. If you go ahead, we keep your contact details for as long as your child takes part in classes or the partnership continues.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. Email hello@pilatesplayground.co.za and we’ll respond as soon as we can.
Lameez is responsible for how Pilates Playground handles your information. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve dealt with a request, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
